Stir up anticipation with a unique Save the Date card. Save the Date cards are a great way of announcing your wedding date to guests prior to sending out invitations. They allow your guests plenty of time to request time off from work, arrange hotel and/or airfare, arrange for babysitters etc. They are especially helpful if your wedding is taking place at a popular destination or vacation spot or falls close to a holiday.

The Save the Date is generally sent out around six months before the wedding, although you could send them out as early as a year before. Ideally, they should match the invitations that follow.
